Give a boy ideas and blocks ...

Can't say how grateful I am to be able to teach the boys at home!  Just another fun moment: Dan's first chapter from The Story of Inventions sparked a ton of interest and ended up leading to his impromptu model of Newcomen's Steam Engine ... in Duplos.  He tinkered for hours adjusting the design and trying to copy to diagrams just so.  And while Dan has always leaned to the mechanical, I think most of the credit has to go to the wonderful books that inspire acting out of big ideas in little boys' play. What a blessing to be able to share learning in ways that delight!

Wow! What a great copy Dan! Sometimes it takes a lot of adjusting to make legos copy other stuff. Excellent work!
